Devil's Hole Field Trip

Our Devil's Hole field trip was a great event. We had 14 attendees and most of us spent both Friday and Saturday at the LongStreet Casino Hotel.

Here are some photos sent in by David Palmer, a longtime friend of Bill Cline who came over from Phoenix for the trip.

Here are five of us right on the edge of Devil's Hole, looking down at the endangered Desert Pupfish.
This is most of the group in front of the fence surrounding Devil's Hole.
There are also Pupfish of other species in the vicinity. Here we are looking down into a pond at Point of the Rocks and there is a blue Pupfish in the lower left corner.

This is a beautiful clear pond, bottom covered by bright green algae and viewing it was one of the highlights of the trip.

Mail Call

I live in Poway and recently set up a tropical tank for my kids to enjoy.  I'm interested in meeting someone fairly local who would be willing to trade with me for live plant cuttings.  In exchange for the cuttings, I could give you outside plants (like succulents - aloes, jades, various), oranges from my garden, or red worms from my vermicompost.  Please email me to discuss a trade!  Thanks.  greengfgarden@gmail.com
