| Editor's Message Our meeting this month is going to be a terrific one. I was present when Vin Kutty gave this program at the Coast club a few months ago. It is full of really good information on fish photography, and Vin is a great speaker. Dick Stratton is taking down some of his tanks and has donated several to the club. They will be auctioned at this meeting, with all proceeds going to the club. Most are in good shape, tank only, no reflectors. I helped him take them down today, and none of them leaked. The Monthly Bowl show for February is: Betta splendens. Be sure to bring your best bettas to show all of us. Next month is Guppys and Old World Cichlids. We plan to make the guppy show a larger event than normal and to show guppies in classes similar to IFGA rules. Phone me at (619) 267-2236 or email me at prattc@adminoff.com for more information. Plans for the field trip in February to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, CA. are being finalized. You will see the basic information below . We are setting up a ridesharing program, so if you either want to drive, or just to ride phone me at (619) 267-2236 or email me at prattc@adminoff.com. Charles Pratt |

This Sturgeon is still alive....just worn out
from the fight.
The fish was caught on the Willamette River just below Oregon City in January
2008.
It weighed over 1,000 lbs and measured 11'1". It was 56" around the
girth and it took over six and a half hours and four dozen beers for the four
guys taking turns reeling it in.
Drinking while boating is not a good thing, but they probably were all
stone-cold sober by the time they got done.
